Preschool Director
I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Kay Moore. I accepted the position of Preschool Director in April 2009. I am originally from a small town in eastern Kentucky. I have 7 sisters, no brothers and lots of nieces and nephews. I have been employed, part-time, at Lifeway Christian Stores for the last 9 years.
So, how did I get to North Carolina? I moved to North Carolina in 1980 with my first husband. In 1992, I went through a divorce. A co-worker and dear friend reached out to me and invited me to her church, Cornerstone Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. After hearing the gospel preached, I realized I needed Christ. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and was baptized in 1993. It was at that church that I met my husband, Jerry. We were married in 1995. We became members here at Robinhood Road Baptist Church in 1997 when he accepted the call to be the Music Director. God blessed us with a son, Ethan, in 1998. I am also a proud mother of 2 sons from my first marriage: Christopher, 20; and Jeremy, 24. Christopher will be in his 3rd year of college this fall. Jeremy is working full-time . He was born deaf, so sign language has been his primary language. I want children to know how to communicate with the deaf community so this fall, on Fridays, I will be teaching the children Basic Sign Language.
I am looking forward to starting a new school year in August. We have an active schedule including Spanish, Music, and new this year is Sign Language and our Children’s Library .
We have a great school and wonderful teachers that truly love the children. Most of our teachers have been here over 8 years! Our goal is to make this Preschool the best it can be and to provide happy memories for your child. If you are looking for a preschool, please come visit. You will like what you see!
