Rise Up!
The RISE UP! service is one of the newest additions to our regular schedule here at RRBC. The first Wednesday evening of every month we get out of the normal routine, share a meal together, and then worship together in our sanctuary. Here’s how it works:
Each month a different organization or Sunday School class in the church prepares a family supper for the congregation to enjoy. The meal is served continuously from 5:45PM until 6:30PM and you are welcome to arrive at any point during that time. The cost of the meal is $4 per person with a $15 maximum per family. It is never necessary to make reservations, and first time visitors always eat free!
After supper and plenty of time for fellowship, the entire church family heads upstairs for a contemporary style time of praise and worship. Our hope is that through our worship, the Holy Spirit will move in such a way that this body of believers will be challenged to RISE UP! and become a more useful as His hands and feet. The services last approximately 40 minutes and are always a mixture of music, drama, testimony, a brief challenge from scripture, and we always conclude our service by joining hands and singing the chorus “Family of God” together.
RISE UP! has been a big hit so far and we’re excited about lies ahead in 2009 for this wonderful experience of worship and fellowship. Here are the upcoming dates that you have an opportunity to join us and RISE UP! along with the supper menu for the evening.
